As I mentioned last week I've been busy in the workshop making new products to add to the shop. The other reason I am designing new work is for Showcase Ireland which is taking place next week.
Showcase is held annually in the RDS in Dublin and brings together Irish designers and makers to exhibit their work. This year I'll be exhibiting up in the balcony area along with other Cork based craftspeople. As well as showing my existing work I will also be launching a new range of jewellery.
I'm really excited about the launch, not only showing the new designs but also getting feedback from buyers and other makers. I've never exhibited at Showcase before but have heard lots of great stories about the great energy and social element of the show. As well as meeting with existing and potential buyers it's a great opportunity to catch up with friends in the trade. The show isn't open to the public but don't worry I'll bring my camera so I can post photos of my stand and also some of the other Irish work on display. And if you do happen to find yourself at Showcase next week be sure to pop by and say hello, I'll be at stand F27.
