We have recently added a Torc range including Torc Cufflinks to our collection of Claddagh Design jewelry. This torc design has been inspired by Irish Bronze Age gold. This period of time resulted in the highest production of gold ornaments in Ireland.
The torc was one of the most popular types of gold ornamentation. It was
considered a high status object for personal adornment and is seen as a
symbol of wealth and importance. The torc was understood to have a ritual
significance often being buried with the wearer for the next life.
