Another busy day in the Claddagh Design workshop! After finalizing designs with a newly engaged couple, I began work on making their wedding rings. The bride-to-be decided on a white gold ring and the groom, a plain platinum wedding band. Here's a quick glimpse of how their wedding rings are looking at this early stage. They are not pretty but I promise they will be soon.I also give a brief update on the bracelet commission I shared recently, all coming along nicely. Between the flood of marriage proposals, wedding rings and Christmas orders, it has all taken me a little by surprise this year. November and December are always my busiest months but even the additional Irish jewelry for my online store has been running a little low this year.
And we are only heading towards the end of November! This is great news for my small Irish business so I happily got to work on creating more and sending them off for hallmarking. With just a couple of weeks left to deliver to my customers in the UK, The United States or Canada, the pressure was on. All of my jewelry is handcrafted, stamped with my makers mark and hallmarked in Dublin Castle, you can imagine it was a little nerve wrecking. I am glad to report they arrived safely back to the workshop the next day. In the video I also briefly explain what what the process entails. Finally I share two other Wedding ring designs I worked on recently.
